Scrappy is a blonde(washed out red and white) male Corgi mix. He needs work on leash walking. The foster home reports that he is leash reactive to other dogs and people on his walk. Scrappy enjoys a faster pace of walking. He has a negative reaction to being put on a leash. This can present with nipping or playing chase. We can surmise that this may be from thinking he’s going back to the bathroom in which he was confined to for years. The foster home has found a slip lead helps lower the negative reaction. Typical Corgi behavior, Scrappy enjoys being petted, scratching his belly and following you around as if you had a corgi shaped shadow. He loves attention and will cuddle with you if you’re just relaxing on the couch. He loves to be right next to someone so he will settle down and usually fall asleep right next to them on the couch. At the end of the day, he does not cry or bark at night after he settles down in his crate.
