Welcome to Sunshine Corgi Rescue. We are a non-profit organization who is dedicated to offering a second chance to any corgi in need of a new home. Our dedicated staff of volunteers is a group of long time corgi lovers who open their hearts and homes to corgis. Our volunteers include people with many years of experience in the corgi breed. Among our members, we have people who belong to the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America and Sunshine Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club in Florida. We have exhibitors, breeders, those that have trained and shown in obedience, agility, herding and have certified therapy dogs.

Sunshine Corgi Rescue is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization whose purpose is for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

Specifically, this Corporation is organized to:

• Assist Pembroke and Cardigan Welsh Corgis (hereafter referred to as Welsh Corgis) who are surrendered by their current owners, found as strays or discovered in animal shelters and to provide proper, permanent homes for unwanted Welsh Corgis by providing quality shelter and care for them until we are able to place them in their new home.  The Corporation will also assist Corgi mixes if both the Assistant Coordinator for Adoptions and the Assistant Coordinator for Intakes agree that the dog exhibits enough characteristics to deem it a Welsh Corgi in overall appearance and personality
• Promote and advance public education concerning Welsh Corgis.
• Promote and advance public education concerning responsible dog ownership and canine good citizenship.

The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes and shall not be conducted or operated for profit.  No part of any profits or remainder residue from donations to the Corporation shall be used to the benefit of any Director or individual.

We do not have a shelter facility. All dogs are housed and cared for in our network of foster homes. This allows us to get to know the dogs personality and provides insight into the proper placement for the dog in its new forever home. We carefully review applications and place the dogs in approved, responsible, permanent homes.

Each dog receives the best medical care. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, brought current on all vaccinations, heart-worm tested, groomed, and started on flea and heart-worm prevention.
